Finn MB-1G Mainsail
All-Purpose
All-Purpose Finn mainsail manufactured from North Sails own NLXi03 Technora laminate. The MB-1G is the sail of choice of Olympic Champion Giles Scott. It is designed to be universal for the one-sail campaigner.
Finn Xi-1 Mainsail
Wind range: 10+ Knots | Sailor weight: 100+ kg
This is our most powerful Finn mainsail, designed for the larger sailor. It can be used as an all purpose Mainsail but is most effective in conditions over 10 knots. The Finn Xi-1 Mainsails is manufactured from North Sails own NLXi03 Technora laminate.
Finn Xi-2 Mainsail
Wind range: 10+ Knots | Sailor weight: 93-99 kg
This is our most popular sail. Although it performs best in over 10 knots it shows great performance throughout the range of conditions and so can be used as an all purpose sail. The Finn Xi-2 design is 0.3% flatter than Xi-1 Mainsail. It is manufactured from North Sails own NLXi03 Technora laminate.
Finn Xi-3 Mainsail
Wind range: 10+ Knots | Sailor weight: <92 kg
This is out flattest Finn sail in the range and is ideal for the smaller sailor. Its design is 0.3% flatter than Xi-2 Mainsail. The Xi-3 is manufactured from North Sails own NLXi03 Technora laminate.
Finn Xi-5L Mainsail
Wind range: 0-15 Knots
Manufactured from North Sails own NLXi02 Technora laminate the Xi-5L is a lighter sail with a lower DPI than the NLXi03 version for the Finn class. Finn MX-6 Mainsail
All-Purpose
Manufactured from Maxx A06 laminate, this all purpose Finn sail started development in the masters fleet. It was soon adopted and morphed into the sail that is used today by top Olympic teams. Designed to be universal for the one sail campaigner, the MX-6 has its own tuning numbers compared to the radial sails.
Finn MX-6L Mainsail
Wind range: 0-12 Knots
The MX-6L is the same design, layout and flying shape to the MX-6 mainsail for the Finn, however, the lighter Maxx A04 offers a more supple sail providing a better feel in those light and tricky conditions. The A04 fabric also allows the sail to power up as the breeze increases, being very effective up to 12 knots.
